FOR PARENTS & FAMILIES

The Pitt to You program was established in 2017 to help our international students overcome the cultural and academic challenges of studying at an American university. Organized by the University Center for International Studies, Asian Studies Center, Residence Life, Office of International Services, Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, and the Office of Cross Cultural and Leadership Development, Pitt to You brought together a team of dedicated student support professionals with experts in Asian Studies. Since its inception, Pitt to You has helped hundreds of incoming students navigate the rigors, pressures, and joy of being at one of the best universities in the United States. Click to meet our STUDENT AMBASSADORS, STAFF, and ALUMNI.

To help international students, parents and families know about Pitt before our students' come, Pitt to You will organize a Student Workshop and a Parent and Family Workshop in late June and communicate with our incoming students and parents. During the Parent and Family Workshop, a presentation will be given by Pitt staff from the Office of International Studies and Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. The presentation will be given both in English and Chinese, mainly including the following information: Pitt campus, academic resources, and living in Pittsburgh. Please be prepared to ask any questions you’d like to know about students' studies and life at Pitt. Learn more at SUMMER WORKSHOP.
